On the Move is an exhibition running at the Canberra Museum and Gallery during the school holidays.

Transport is the theme of the On the Move exhibit at the Canberra Museum and Gallery.

The exhibition will run until the end of the school holidays, finishing on January 28.

There are a wide variety of hands on activities within the area, which is on one of the galleries facing the street. As you enter there is a huge table of Lego. The idea is you create a vehicle and drive it down some ramps they have set up, with the idea of it not crashing apart. Doesn’t work out for everybody.

In another room there are activities about paper planes, and one wall is a dedicated touch screen where you can press different buttons to activate animations of different types of transport.

There are various cars you can sit in and pretend to be a mechanic, changing tyres and the like. Along the way there are various facts about various transport inventions and changes that have been made over time.

You can find out more about the exhibition at the Canberra Museum and Gallery website.
